The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) is a simple, 10-question screening tool developed by the World Health Organization. It’s designed to help you reflect on your alcohol use patterns - whether from safe levels to early signs of risky or harmful drinking—and understand where you stand. The questions cover what, how much, and how often you drink, along with any related behaviours or consequences.

It usually takes just a few minutes to complete. While it’s not a formal diagnosis, your AUDIT score can offer useful insight. For example, a score of 8 or above is a sign of potentially hazardous or harmful drinking, whereas 15 and above may suggest likely dependence – valuable information to consider when thinking about your health and wellbeing.
