Each cruise line has its own forms and requirements, but a typical cruise ship medical may include:

• Full medical history and physical examination
• Height, weight and BMI
• Blood pressure and cardiovascular assessment
• Vision and colour vision testing
• Hearing assessment
• Urinalysis
• Blood tests such as:
• Full blood count
• Liver function tests
• Fasting glucose and lipids
• Other tests as specified by the cruise line
• Chest X-ray for tuberculosis clearance (where required)
• Resting ECG (heart tracing)
• Drug and alcohol screening (for many cruise companies)
• Pregnancy test for females – where the cruise line requires it
